Blurred Lines by Renee Campbell - artist statement

When I was asked for an image that I felt most suited Farcaster, at first my mind drew a blank. I thought, what piece of my work could possibly represent Farcaster? Then this image popped into mind. To me it felt like the perfect representation of FC, calm and frantic at the same time. Like a duck looking relaxed while feverishly paddling under water.

I shot this photo of homegrown poppies using a technique called ICM - intentional camera movement. I’ve been experimenting with this style a lot this year and love that it makes me feel such a mix of feelings with its dynamic movement captured in the still. I couldn’t think of a better way to describe my experience on Farcaster. Everything constantly moving and growing like flowers caught in the wind but rooted firmly in the ground.
