ideas are valuable.

Amazing things happen when ideas are shared publicly. From the blog post that inspired Uniswap to the thread that sparked PartyDAO, there are countless examples of big things starting with simple, publicly shared ideas.

But most ideas aren’t shared publicly. They’re locked away in our notes apps or daydreams, batted around in group chats or conversations with friends. They’re cozy sparks in our heads instead of being out in the world to be iterated and expanded on.

How might we get more of them into the public consciousness to inspire new thinking, development, and innovation? What if there was a place where ideas were protected by provenance, rewarded with capital, and goaded out by status games and friendly competition?

ETF is that place. It’s an internet-native version of a whiteboard at Xerox Parc, or the couch at The Factory. It’s a rallying point for the dreamers in consumer crypto where ideas flow rapidly, bounce off each other, and end up as something that was inconceivable at the outset. It’s a place where your imaginative contributions get forever enshrined by Ethereum blockspace.
