Miss Waldron's red colobus, which lived on the border between Ghana and Ivory Coast, has been considered extinct since the early 2000s. This medium-sized red-maned monkey was a gentle creature accustomed to living in large groups high up in the treetops. However, human activity began to shrink its habitat.
