Dear Diary,

Where do I begin? It's hard to reflect on the past because there are so many details and a ton of unresolved emotions, yet no words to really explain it all. For whatever reason, what comes to mind in this moment are the last words my Nana said to me before she passed - "I'm proud of you, is the cake ready?" I miss her a lot.

It's been a hard few years, but I'm slowly getting back to that unwavering belief in my ability to be great. I have the vision and the execution; all I ever really needed was my own sign-off. "Heavy Is The Crown" means a lot to me - it's a fresh start, a second chance, and a North Star I've discovered for myself. It felt right to make it the first entry.
