Through this collection I'm adulating & celebrating the aesthetics of natural African hair, thus including the manner it's often variously styled and carried by both females & males, especially how it defies the archaic western draconian standards of beauty that have been policing people of Africa and of African descendance on how they should style and carry their own natural hair since time immemorial. The celebration and acceptance of natural African hair is a powerful and positive step towards reclaiming cultural identity and promoting self-love and acceptance. It's important to acknowledge and appreciate the diverse ways in which people choose to style and carry their natural hair, as it's a reflection of their individuality and cultural heritage.By embracing natural African hair, we can challenge and dismantle the oppressive beauty standards that have been imposed on people of African descent for far too long. This celebration helps to promote inclusivity and diversity.
