In our state of not knowing, we can either be innocent or ignorant. Just as confusion is a reaction to the unknown, so too is curiosity a response.
Ignorance breeds confusion, confusion begets fear, fear fosters hate, hate fuels anger, anger incites violence, and violence results in pain and suffering.
On the other hand, innocence sparks curiosity; curiosity drives research, which yields data; data provides information, fostering knowledge; knowledge cultivates wisdom, and wisdom ultimately leads to love.
