Generative Models have shaken the world. These systems operate through a taxonomy of categories that reinforce biases, stereotypes, and surveillance politics.
Yet, their vast potential remains latent. We can’t leave these tools to our enemies. It’s urgent to engage with them, messing up, propagating confusion and noise.
How can we internally contradict these machines? How can we turn them against themselves and use them to imagine a future of emancipation?
Latente Dämonen symbolize this contradiction in the form of aberrant figures, visually contradictory and geometrically incorrect. As one philosopher once wrote:
"*Demons are different from gods because gods have fixed attributes, properties, and functions, territories, and codes... What demons do is jump across intervals and from one interval to another."
Demons are agents of chaos. They dismantle the existing order and they express the desire for new values.
Perhaps by following their irregular steps, we can find ways to escape the present algorithmic paranoia.
