From August 5 to August 30, the first edition of a new collection curated by Newtro: LATAM Culture Builders.

In the era of hyperconnectivity and the emerging decentralized web, Latin American artists and cultural managers inhabit a digital ecosystem that challenges and redefines notions of identity and cultural sovereignty. Their web3 artistic practices are acts of resistance and emancipation, building bridges in a global market that often homogenizes and reduces creators to passive technological users.

Facing economic challenges and structural disparities, blockchain presents itself as a tool for visibility and professionalization, developing new forms of access and circulation for our vibrant and self-managed culture. Through networking and community support, these practices emerge as beacons of cultural diversity and authenticity, demonstrating that at the intersection of technology and culture, these sovereign identities not only preserve but also flourish and reshape our way of engaging with the real world.

This exhibition, curated by Newtro, redefines the figure of the BUILDER on the internet, creating a space for artists and cultural managers to reflect on their impact in the emerging web3 culture and how this offers a different perspective on the use of technology for the development of more sovereign cultural identities and expressions.
