a song about finding balance

i wrote "cruise control" with my friend jonah shy on my last day of college in 2020. i didn't expect to graduate into the world in the middle of a pandemic and i wasn't prepared to lose all the constants that had defined the previous four years of my life. the song is partly a confrontation of my anxiety about change and uncertainty, and partly an affirmation that everything will figure itself out
