Auld Lang Syne, 2023

Let's celebrate the 2023 new year together with a bona fide genesis mint, also a tribute to The Memes by 6529 and the Open Metaverse.

It's my debut mint on Zora,
first open edition,
first edition, period (everything else has been 1/1s),
first time minting a live performance,
first time playing a concert in the Open Metaverse,
first time releasing music under cc0,
and my gift to you.

It's also the beginning of an adventure – with lots of exciting music, stories, and flights of imagination to come.

"Auld Lang Syne" is a traditional Scottish folk song, pondering whether old times should be forgotten. It was set to its current text throughout the 1700s, its current music in 1799 - and still remains a quintessential ballad to commemorate each solar New Year crossing. This version was performed and recorded on January 1, 2023 12:01am Eastern Standard Time, live from Berlin, Germany and broadcast through the Open Metaverse.
