ASTIGMATISM

ASTIGMATISM - Lula (2021)

This piece portrays the effects of astigmatism in a casual, everyday setting.

Astigmatism is a common eye condition that causes blurry and distorted vision, especially in low-light environments. An estimated 30-60% of the world's population has astigmatism; fortunately, it is relatively manageable with corrective lenses (and in few cases, surgery). Unfortunately, other eye conditions like glaucoma and macular degeneration are significantly harder to manage. Affecting tens of millions globally, these conditions lead to permanent vision loss and are currently incurable.

100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Cole Eye Institute at the Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s most advanced eye centers for ophthalmology research.
