I was commissioned to create a digital print project about Palazzo Moroni as part of the FAI project.
Palazzo Moroni, located in the Upper Town of Bergamo, stands as one of the most significant buildings of the Baroque Era. Decorated with baroque frescoes, the palace's rooms house the Moroni family's extensive art collection. The building boasts the largest private garden in the Upper Town, featuring both Italian gardens and a vegetable garden.
My submission "Paulatim," draws inspiration from the "Room of Jerusalem Delivered" within the palace. The artwork reflects the room's rich colors, intricate patterns, and historical significance. This project celebrates the transformative impact of the silk industry on Bergamo's economy, highlighting the wealth and cultural prosperity it brought to the region.
"Paulatim"; as it stands for «one by one» honors the achievements and advancements enabled by the flourishing silk trade, emphasizing Bergamo's journey toward growth and development through its powerful economic and cultural heritage.
